How long does treatment with dental implants take?

Treatment duration depends on the individual case. After inserting the implant, a healing phase of approximately 3-6 months follows, during which the implant fuses with the jawbone. The final crown is then placed. In some cases, immediate loading is also possible.

Is the implantation painful?

The procedure is performed under local anesthesia, so you won't feel any pain during treatment. After the procedure, mild swelling and discomfort may occur, which can be easily managed with common pain relievers and subside after a few days.

How long do dental implants last?

With proper care and regular check-ups, dental implants can last a lifetime. Thorough oral hygiene and regular professional cleanings are important. Studies show a success rate of over 95% after 10 years.

Does health insurance cover the costs?

Public health insurance in Austria typically covers a fixed allowance for standard care. Implant costs are usually not fully covered. Private supplementary insurance may cover part of the costs depending on the plan. We're happy to advise you on the options.

Is there a minimum age for implants?

Dental implants should only be placed after jaw growth is complete, typically from age 18. There is practically no upper age limit – what matters is your health condition and bone density.
